C1 correction workflow

Goal

Apply a high-level correction protocol to refine C1 performance and argument quality.

6-pass C1 correction workflow

  1. Scope pass: define boundaries of each claim
  2. Evidence pass: verify support and source logic
  3. Counterpass: evaluate opposing position fairly
  4. Synthesis pass: integrate tensions coherently
  5. Register pass: ensure audience-appropriate tone
  6. Compression pass: remove redundancy without losing nuance

C1 diagnostic prompts

  • Is this claim conditional or absolute?
  • Does this conclusion exceed available evidence?
  • Is the counterargument represented accurately?
  • Does the final synthesis resolve tension?

Example refinement

Weak: "Digitalization improves everything in education."
Refined: "Digitalization can improve educational access in infrastructure-stable contexts, but requires targeted support to avoid reproducing inequities."

Mistake fix tip

At C1, correction quality depends on analytical discipline more than grammatical complexity.
