Use idiomatic spoken phrases to sound confident in discussions without sounding too formal.

Introducing your stance

• Ich sehe das so: = I see it this way:
• Für mich liegt der Punkt hier: = for me, the key point is here:

Challenging gently

• Da bin ich nicht ganz bei dir. = I’m not fully with you on that
• So einfach ist das nicht. = it’s not that simple
• Das greift zu kurz. = that falls short

Reframing

• Man muss das größer sehen. = you need to see the bigger picture
• Im Kern geht es darum, dass ... = fundamentally it’s about ...

Closing

• Unterm Strich ... = bottom line ...
• Darauf können wir uns einigen. = we can agree on that
