High-use phrases

• Das dauert ewig. = this takes forever
• Da blickt doch keiner durch. = no one can make sense of that
• Ich hab den Überblick verloren. = I lost track
• Das hängt noch in der Bearbeitung. = it’s still being processed
• Da muss ich nochmal nachhaken. = I need to follow up again

Situation examples

Office visit

"Der Termin wurde schon wieder verschoben."

Form filling

Neutral/formal alternatives

• Das dauert ewig -> Die Bearbeitung dauert ungewöhnlich lange
