A2 guided writing prompts

How to use this page

For each prompt, write one short paragraph (6-10 sentences).
Your goal is flow: use connectors and clear timeline.

Prompt set (A2)

1. A weekend trip: where you went, what happened, how it ended.
2. An invitation: invite a friend and include all practical details.
3. A problem and solution: describe a small daily problem and how you solved it.
4. My weekly plan: organize study/work/free time.
5. A memorable day: describe one event and your reaction.

Connector targets

Use at least 4 from this list:

Self-check (A2)

1. Does the paragraph have beginning, middle, and ending?
2. Are sequence words visible?
3. Did I avoid repeating the same sentence start each time?
4. Is the reason/result relation clear at least once?
5. Can a reader understand the timeline without guessing?

Writing tip

At A2, paragraph logic is more important than perfect complexity.
Clear order + simple grammar = strong communication.
