da- + preposition

Refers back to a thing/idea:

  • Ich denke oft daran.
  • Darüber habe ich schon gelesen.

wo- + preposition

In questions: Womit schreibst du? Worüber lacht ihr?

r before vowel

darauf, darin, woran (not daauf).

People

Often Prep + pronoun: mit ihm, not damin for people.
